Candlebox put on an awesome show Wednesday night at the Variety Playhouse. Thanks to the drummer, Scott, my friends and I were let in with backstage access. Two of my group were arriving just as the singer, Kevin, announced they were about to play their last song. But, just as I thought my two friends had missed the show, Candlebox came back on stage and played a few more songs. Later, Scott told me that the encore wasn't planned, but they thought that even though their turnout was smaller than normal, the people who showed up were really digging it. So back on they went.
